California calling..

I had the pleasure of visiting California recently. My in-laws are visiting us, and instead of taking them to a teerth-yatra of Niagara Falls, my wife and I decide to do a week-long trip of LA-Route 1-SFO.

Following my recent penchant for brevity (disregard for prose is perhaps more appropriate) and interview-style postings, here's one more ..

Which places? (aka.. par kahan? Linking Road? Khandala?)
  • Universal Studios, Disneyland, Beverly Hills, Santa (Singh) Monica - 3 days
  • Santa (Singh) Barbara, Hearst Castle, Ragged Point, Monterey - 2 days
  • Lombard St (Crooked St), Golden Gate Bridge, Fishermen's adda, Muir Forest - 1 day

What did I enjoy the most in the trip?
- Visiting Mickey's home (i.e. Disneyland). I took a liking for his piano, and his beautiful home.

If I had to choose between living in Virginia and living in California, where would I chose to live?
- Virginia

Why do I think people travel on vacations?
  1. Because they don't know how to enjoy vacations sitting at home, and
  2. So that they can tell others where they spent their vacation

Given a choice, how would you spend your vacation?
  1. By watching a test series with India visiting Australia, OR
  2. By watching any of the following on television: Charlie Rose, Poirot, Jeeves and Wooster
  3. A distant third would be reading one of the books in my little library at home (yes, I do have a library of books, most of which I haven't touched since the day I bought them and stocked them)
